PHMG
PHMG
1. Broad spectrum 2. Safe with no irritation
3. High compatibility 4. Cost-effective
5. Patents and technical support
As a broad-spectrum biocide, PHMG is very effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi.
Concentration in water (%) | contact time (min.) | subject | % killed |
0.05 | 1 | Influenza virus | 99.99 |
0.05 | 5 | Corynebacterium diphtheriae | 100 |
0.05 | 5 | Staphylococcus aureus | 100 |
0.05 | 5 | Salmonella | 100 |
0.05 | 5 | Shigella Castellami and Chalmers | 100 |
0.05 | 10 | Escherichia coli | 100 |
0.05 | 25 | Pseudomonas aeruginosa | 100 |
0.1 | 15 | Pseudomonas aeruginosa | 100 |
0.1 | 5 | HIV | 100 |
0.5 | 1 | HIV | 100 |
PHMG is effective against both aerobes and anaerobes. It kills 99.67%-100% of sulfate reducing bacteria, iron bacteria and saprophytic bacteria at a concentration of 7.5mg/L. Experiments show that MIC for sulfate reducing bacteria is not changed after 30 generations, indicating bacteria would not become resistant to PHMG after prolonged use.
